Neurotherapy

Experience Healing Quickly

What is Neurotherapy?

Neurotherapy also referred to as neuromodulation is a healthy non medication approach that includes neurofeedback and neurostimulation. Neurofeedback addresses dysregulated brain wave activity, helping people feel better and experience the success in their lives they have been longing for.

We’ll make treatment recommendations based on your specific symptoms and the results of your QEEG, which records the electric activity from your brain and compares the results with others similar in age.

What is Neurostimulation?

Did you know? Your body is electric! Really. Natural electrical impulses drive and control many functions of your body.

Perhaps the best-known example is your heart. Approximately every second, an electrical impulse sets off a muscle contraction in your heart that pumps blood throughout your body.

Your brain also uses electrical impulses continuously.

While neurofeedback measures those electrical impulses and then lets your brain take over their regulation, neurostimulation allows you to actively engage your brain’s electrical impulses using low level electrical current. It enhances treatment of many different kinds of symptoms.

Neuromodulation can help retrain and regulate brain wave activity, and leads to increased blood flow, growth of new blood vessels, and neurogenesis (neuron growth).

And, based on your brain’s patterns and your symptoms, you’ll get a treatment plan specifically tailored to fit your needs.

Best of all? It’s painless!

What types of neurostimulation does Neuro Hope offer?

With neuromodulation, we are retraining your brain patterns by using a blend of pulsed Electromagnetic Field Stimulation (pEMF), Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS), pink noise (tAPN), or transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (tRNS).

Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS)changes the current pattern or behavior in your brain by passing electrical impulses back and forth between two electrodes. This type of treatment helps the brain to heal and recover. With tACS, we will give your brain the specific frequency it needs more of, and your brain will replicate it.

Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (tRNS) strengthens a specific frequency through white noise stimulation. For example, if the brain is lacking Delta (slow wave activity often occurring with sleep that also helps with feeling more grounded and relaxed), we can use tRNS to enhance your Delta production.

Transcranial Advanced Pink Noise Stimulation  (tAPNS) sends randomized frequencies to the brain, which can help to change to occur by disrupting stuck dysfunctional brain wave activity. This helps to synchronize systems in the brain more efficiently.

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) passes a single directional current through the brain, allowing the brain to become more responsive to the benefits of neurofeedback and pEMF therapy. tDCS has been known to help people who struggle with significant depression. Specifically, a combination of tDCS and neurofeedback can be very helpful in addressing treatment-resistant depression, because it helps the brain to be more receptive to change.

When used together, tDCS, tRNS or tAPNS, and tACS are powerful. tDCS helps your brain become more receptive to change; tRNS strengthens the specific frequency you need more of; tAPNS helps break up strong dysfunctional patterns of brain wave activity, and tACS will train a frequency in the brain to produce that frequency on it’s own.

What else do you use to enhance neurofeedback treatment?

pEMF – Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field

pEMF uses electromagnetic energy to support the changes occurring in your brain during neurostimulation or neurofeedback treatment. We can also use it as a stand-alone treatment.

RTZ – Real Time Z-score neurofeedback

RTZ is a combination of one or all of the stimulation methods listed above, in conjunction with neurofeedback.

HEG – HemoEncephaloGraphy

HemoEncephaloGraphy neurofeedback uses passive infrared technology to monitor the temperature of your frontal lobe to help increase cerebral blood flow, aiding in better metabolic activity.

Your frontal lobe is very important because it helps with decision making and regulates impulse control, attention, working memory, emotional regulation, problem solving, initiation, judgment, spontaneity, and social behavior.

This technology can help the frontal lobe work more efficiently, which can help with many types of symptoms people may experience.

VieLight Near Infrared Treatment

Photobiomodulation techniques may be part of your treatment, via use of Vielight Neuro Alpha or Gamma.

These are forms of low level light therapy.  Light energy can help increased production of cell energy in your brain and help with cell protection and repair.

When paired with neurofeedback, we can use this treatment to facilitate faster progress.

VieLight treatment can help if you have symptoms resulting from a TBI, concussion, or PTSD. It can also strengthen your ability to address problems related to anxiety, depression, cognitive processes, chronic pain, and sleep disorders.

Alpha-Stim ®

We can use this treatment to reduce anxiety, depression, and, for some, even pain.

HRV – Heart Rate Variability Training

To help you learn to breathe more coherently and reduce your anxiety and other symptoms, we can use both HeartMath ® and Neurofield’s HRV unit.

BAUD – Bio Acoustical Utilization Device

Using sound frequencies, BAUD is yet another method we can use to address a wide variety of your symptoms.
